Richmond Hill’s Leading Daycare and Learning Facility
The Loyal True Blue & Orange Home ’s goal is to operate a community-based daycare and learning facility in Richmond Hill that addresses the physical, social and emotional needs of all children with multiple learning levels and abilities. We are committed to an active partnership with students, parents, staff and community programs .
Our Facility
The building is spread out over 11 park-like acres. We are licensed for 136 children and take pride in the care and maintenance of our centre.
We are equipped with an indoor gymnasium, swimming pool and four beautiful fenced parks and playgrounds. These amenities facilitate children to exercise, play, relax and recreate. This helps children to develop a sound mind in a sound body.
We’d be happy to give you a tour of the facility. Please call us to book a full one-on-one tour!
Our Commitment
We are committed to meeting all the requirements of the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA) as well as following the four foundations of Learning, Well-being, Belonging and Expression & Engagement. We believe Children and their families need to know that they are welcome and that we value their opinions and involvement. Children learn and thrive in a safe, happy and nurturing environment where they feel they belong and can express who they are.
Count on us for your child care needs. Our staff are long-term employees who enjoy workshops and continuing their education. All of our registered early childhood educators (RECEs) are members in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (ECEs). We care for children from 18 months old to Sr. kindergarten (6 years of age).
We are open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm and only close for statutory holidays. These extended hours and absence of professional activity (PA) days are part of our commitment towards working families.
MEET TRUE BLUE & COOPER
The Loyal True Blue and Orange Home is proud to partner with COPE Service Dogs to support their newest members of the pack, True Blue (or Blue for short) and Cooper (Coop for short) They are training to become a service dog for someone living with a physical disability, or a facility dog that would be placed in a life-changing setting such as hospice, or community outreach programs. True Blue & Cooper are currently enrolled in COPE’s Canine in the Classroom where they are working with student trainers who are facing mental health challenges and barriers to graduating. Over the next two years, they will learn up to 90 commands before being placed with a Life Partner.
“We are thrilled to have the support of the Loyal True Blue & Orange Home” said Trevor Roberts, Executive Director for COPE Service Dogs. "It takes over 2 years and $30,000 for a puppy to go through our extensive training program, and since our organization receives no government funding, this support makes an incredible difference and will change the life of someone living with a disability”.
Following their first year of training in Canines in the Classroom program alongside students, the dogs move into extensive refinement training with COPE Service Dogs staff trainers to refine their skills, learning over 90 different commands and are ultimately matched with their life partner with a physical disability.

HISTORY
Loyal True Blue & Orange Home (since 1921) Mission Statement
The Loyal True Blue & Orange Home’s goal is to operate a community-based children’s facility that addresses the physical, social and emotional needs of all children with multiple learning levels and abilities. We are committed to an active partnership with students, parents, staff and community programs.
We are a non-profit charitable organization, , dedicated to serving the needs of families since 1921. We continue to grow & expand our work to help the community and its changing needs.
The Home was incorporated in 1921 as an orphanage, provided a home for 100’s of children over the years. In the early 1980’s the Ministry of Community and Social Services closed orphanages to make the transition to the Foster Home system. The Board of Directors, in keeping with their dedication to children, opened a small child care centre.
Presently – We continue to operate the same not for profit child care centre. We are proud of our centre and everything we offer, indoor gymnasiums, 5 fenced beautiful park like playgrounds, swimming pool, homemade meals prepared by certified chefs.
We have collaborated with many other not for profit agencies by providing space for AGM’s meetings, resource centres and offices over the years. We are currently leasing space to Century Private School.
