About the Programs We Offer

Commitment

Our staff is dedicated to serving the needs of your kids. From our educationally enriching programs, fun field trips and special events to the preparation of meals, which include fresh fruits and vegetables, we are definitely the best choice for child care in Richmond Hill.

We are open year-round, closed only for statutory holidays.

We serve children from toddlers of 18 months old to Sr. kindergarten of up to 6 years old.

Why Consider Full Time with Us?

  • Five days per week
  • Open 12 months per year
  • Hours are 7:30 am to 6:00 pm; drop-off and pick-up are on your schedule anytime between these hours
  • We provide breakfast, snacks and lunches, all freshly cooked on site by certified food handlers and our ratios are maintained during eating periods
  • Minimum of two hours of outdoor activity per day supervised by the teacher while maintaining the ratio
  • We promote responsibility and individual growth of your child
  • We provide a warm nurturing environment
  • Four Canadian Standards Association (CSA) inspected and approved playgrounds
  • Indoor gym for bad weather
  • Inspected and approved swimming pool with National Lifesaving Society (NLS) lifeguard each summer
  • We have been caring for children since 1921 & have been operating a not-for-profit licenced child care centre since 1981
  • We encourage & support continued Learning, workshops & staff training for our employees
  • We support the new Child Care & Early Years Act (CCEYA)
  • All of our RECE’s are members in good standing with the college of ECE’s
  • We provide a warm nurturing environment
  • We have acres of beautiful grounds for children to explore, on our grounds we have five fenced (CSA) inspected and approved playgrounds
  • We have an indoor gym for the days our Canadian Weather won’t allow for outdoor play
  • We have a beautiful outdoor heated in-ground swimming pool, the pool is inspected by public health & always has a certified NLS lifeguard on deck
  • We use a “How Does Learning Happen”(HDLH) method of teaching - this means: Learning is child centered, our Teachers engage and provide a variety of materials that allow children to explore and create outdoors and inside teaching opportunities happen all day long stemming from the interests of a child’s play, art, dance, music, nature interests. Etc.
